"Far-Ouest" which in English/French means "The Wild West" reflects Mylène's enthusiasm for films and for Clint Eastwood's "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". The wine has a nature that reminds us of the vast expanses and the conquest of a wild land. The wine has an intense colour, where aromas of "garrigue" and ripe fruit mix with aromas of pepper and camphor. Far-Ouest is a very delicate, racy Mediterranean wine wrapped in rounded tannins. The wine is stored in steel tanks between 15-18 months.
Far-Ouest can be drunk with grilled vegetable antipasti, grilled entrecote, roasted duck breast or other meat dishes. The wine also works well with cheese.
Niels Lillelund: "Juicy, clean, happy with an easy-flowing fruit in the foreground and a good, firm acidity - all the way through."
Domaine Mylène Bru started in 2008, when Mylène Bru bought 4 hectares of vines. Here she was without water, electricity and generally had very difficult conditions for producing wine. Mylène is a trained oenologist and she really knows what she is doing. It is not experiments that she sends to the market. Everything is done deliberately. She produces top natural wines with a fascinating personality and passion. Mylène's wines express nature, authenticity, daring and honesty. Her wines are enjoyed in several Michelin-starred restaurants in France, and French icon actress Catherine Deneuve is among Mylène's fan base.
