Grapes: 45% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault & 5% Counoise (harvested manually)

The wine is very elegant, and not as "heavy" as you normally know a red wine from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Very nice deep ruby red color with an aromatic and complex nose of laurel, thyme, morello cherry, red and dark fruits and spices. A strong and silky taste with notes of laurel, morello cherry, spices, minerals with very well integrated and round tannins. The wine is aged in large oak barrels for 18 months and has a large body with a long aftertaste.

The wine goes well with meat dishes, game, boeuf bourguignon, cheeses and chocolate desserts.

Domaine de la Palud, located south of the city of Orange in the Rhône region, produces Marie-Laure Grangeon top wines with "know-how" handed down from her ancestors. Domaine de la Palud has been in the family since 1841 and before that the vineyard belonged to a Provencal noble family for five centuries. At the vineyard there is still a building (a tower) left from the 14th century.
