"Les Cinq Elements" (the five elements) are from 55-70 year old vines. The wine has an intense red color, fine and elegant nose with aromas of red berries (strawberries and raspberries) and notes of blackcurrant. Silky tannins with good length.
Les Cinq Elements goes well with white meat, fish in sauce, poultry, meat dishes, lamb and game.
Domaine de l'R is located on a large gravel plain on the right bank of the Vienne in the heart of Chinon. Trained in Spain (Dominio de Atauta, Ribera del Duero), Frédéric Sigonneau returned to France in 2004, where he founded his estate three years later on the remains of the family estate in Cravant les Coteaux. In 2015, Frédéric returned to the property's original 8 hectares, which were "just waiting to be awakened". Frédéric has always used organic methods. He uses neither herbicides nor pesticides.
