L'Amour Fragile

Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc (harvested manually)

Alcohol: 12.5%

20 days maceration, aged 10 months in amphora, unfiltered. Untraditional wine from Bordeaux, but experimental and delicious! Gently oxidized and has a good grip of bitterness, but lots of grapefruit and citrus characters. Good with cheese and vegetarian dishes.

Château Carsin is located in Rions in Bordeaux, and is run by Nea, who is a young wine producer in Bordeaux with 18 ha. Nea makes almost everything: dry whites, rosé, reds, sweet, pet nat, sparkling grape juice, balsamic vinegar and she also grows fruit and vegetables, which they sell to local consumers and restaurants. They have two brands: Château Carsin are the family wines, while Charivari are the "fun and natural".

What sets Châtaeu Carsin apart from many of the other producers in Bordeaux is their biodiversity-driven farm, open-minded, authentic and natural approach to winemaking. Many of the wines they produce are not the most traditional of Bordeaux, which also makes it even more interesting!
